The Most Flaming Addition In Philadelphia: Gambrel Roof, 276 South Philip Street, Philadelphia, Penna.

276 South Philip Street, Philadelphia, Penna. While this house was only one story by the second quarter of the 20th century, the addition of the third level as an extension of the gambrel roof is really quite wonderful. We could do without the side enclosure and the security door, but all is forgiven due to the absurdity of the double decker gambrel roof and its dressings. The shed dormers are also quite a nice touch.
